1996年，我高二，因為喜歡茱麗葉畢諾許（Juliette Binoche），所以去看了英倫情人（The English Patient）。

結果她的戲份，並不太多，畢竟是女配角；整部片的劇情，對高中生來說，也不太能體會其精妙之處。

所幸電影配樂可聽性非常之高，我離開戲院就跑去唱片行買了。

整張專輯最令我印象深刻的是，收錄了兩個版本的Cheek To Cheek，分別由佛雷亞斯坦（Fred Astaire）與艾拉費茲潔羅（Ella Fitzgerald）演唱，他們都是爵士樂史的傳奇人物，不同的演繹方式也各有風情。

Anthony Minghella’s Oscar-winning realization of Michael Ondaatje’s intricate romance deservedly earned comparisons to David Lean’s sweeping screen epics derived from strong literary sources.
